Oral Lichen Planus Prevalence Estimates Go Global

Key clinical point: Oral lichen planus is more common among women and those aged 40 years and over.

Major finding: Global prevalence of oral lichen planus is 0.89% for the general population and 0.98% among clinical patients.

Study details: Systematic review and meta-analysis of 46 studies involving 654,956 patients.
