No benefit to infants from e-books over board books

Key clinical point: Low-income children who were read electronic books had similar literacy and development outcomes as children read board books.

Study details: The findings are based on a prospective randomized study of 100 Medicaid-eligible children aged 5-7 months from three participating practices.

Disclosures: The research was funded by the Vanguard Strong Start for Kids Program. Dr. Guevara reported no disclosures.
