New noninvasive wireless devices aim to more gently monitor neonatal vital signs
Key clinical point: A pair of ultrathin, noninvasive devices can capture and wirelessly transmit full vital signs from the neonatal ICU.
Major finding: One device mounts to the chest and captures ECGs while the other records photoplethysmograms from the base of the foot; both are used to calculate heart rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure.
