Warfarin Boosts OA Risk in Rotterdam Study

Key clinical point: Warfarin therapy is independently associated with increased risk of OA.

Major finding: The risk of new-onset or progressive OA in individuals on warfarin was more than doubled, compared with nonusers.

Study details: The Rotterdam Study is a prospective, population-based cohort study of 15,000 participants, ongoing since 1990.
