Nonpharmacologic ankylosing spondylitis recommendations not followed
Key clinical point: Nonpharmacologic recommendations for ankylosing spondylitis aren’t being followed very much by rheumatologists in the Boston-based Partners Healthcare system, and probably elsewhere. Physicians need advice on how to implement them.
Major finding: Inflammatory marker measurement was documented in about half of visits. Disease activity was measured in only 17%.
Study details: Review of the electronic records of 304 AS patients
Disclosures: The study’s funding source and disclosures – if any – weren’t reported.
