Educational booklet and video boost health literacy in RA patients
Key clinical point: Both an educational booklet and a booklet/video combination improved health literacy in rheumatoid arthritis patients after 6 months.
Major finding: Rheumatoid arthritis patients’ scores on a disease knowledge questionnaire improved significantly from baseline to 6 months after receiving an educational booklet (from 5.5 to 7.2 on a 0-10 scale) or a booklet plus a video (from 5.5 to 7.3).
