Evidence Builds for Effects of Obesity, Low Physical Activity on Development of Psoriatic Arthritis
Key clinical point: High BMI, high waist circumference, and lower levels of physical activity all increase the risk of developing psoriatic arthritis.
Major finding: Obese individuals had an adjusted HR of 2.46 (95% CI, 1.65-3.68), compared with participants at normal weight.
Study details: A longitudinal, population-based study of data from 36,626 women and men without diagnosed PsA at baseline.
