OA is Underrepresented in Medical Literature
Key clinical point: Osteoarthritis research doesn’t get the respect it deserves in the medical literature.
Major finding: In 2016 there were 1,625 publications on osteoarthritis, excluding those devoted to orthopedic procedures, compared with 10,904 on the broader topic of joint diseases.
Study details: This was an analysis of the MEDLINE database for 2007-2016.
