Mesh nebulizer worked faster to control acute asthma

Key clinical point: In the emergency department, acute asthma in children is controlled more quickly with a mesh rather than jet nebulizer.

Major finding: The probability of hospital admission for children nebulized by mesh rather than a jet device was reduced 48% (P = .03).

Study Details: Single-blinded, multicenter, randomized trial.
