Females With Acne Stay on Spironolactone Longer Than Antibiotics
Key clinical point: Female patients with acne may benefit from continuing treatment with spironolactone longer than with oral antibiotics.
Major finding: The mean course duration was significantly longer among female patients treated with spironolactone than among those treated with an oral tetracycline.
