USPSTF Recommendations to Support Breastfeeding

The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has issued its final recommendation statement on primary care interventions to support breastfeeding. This is an update to the 2008 USPSTF recommendation on primary care interventions to promote breastfeeding. The updated statement findings and recommendations include:
- Clinicians should provide interventions during pregnancy and after birth to support breastfeeding (B recommendation).
- Interventions are effective in increasing the rate and duration of breastfeeding.
