Evidence Supports Accuracy of COPD Diagnosis Tool
Key clinical point: The recommended FEV1:FVC ratio of 0.70 was effective at predicting risk of COPD severity in a large, diverse population.
Major finding: The optimal 0.71 FEV1:FVC was not significantly different than the recommended 0.70.
Study details: The data come from a longitudinal study of 24,207 adults aged 45-102 years with COPD.
