RNA expression offers potential biomarker in hemophilia A
Niloofar N et al. Hematology. 2019;24(1):255-62
Key clinical point: The expression of long noncoding RNA on the factor VIII gene may help pinpoint the severity of hemophilia A.
Major finding: Transcript levels of two long noncoding RNAs were significantly lower in severe hemophilia A patients, compared with healthy controls (P less than .05).
Study details: An analysis of RNA expression levels in 50 patients with severe hemophilia A and 50 healthy controls at a single center in Iran.
Disclosures: There was no outside funding for the study, and no potential conflict of interest information was reported by the authors.
