Worse Survival Seen Among Black Patients With MCL
Key clinical point: Black non-Hispanic patients with mantle cell lymphoma have a lower rate of 5-year overall survival, compared with white non-Hispanic and Hispanic patients.
Major finding: The 5-year overall survival was 46.8% among black patients, compared with 55.8% for Hispanic patients and 50.1% for white non-Hispanic patients.
Study details: A retrospective study involving 18,120 patients with mantle cell lymphoma who were diagnosed between 2004 and 2013.
