Major finding: A 10% decline in fitness over the 4 years of follow-up was associated with a 11% increase in the overall risk of heart failure (hazard ratio, 1.11).
Study details: An ancillary study of 257 incident heart failure events from the LookAHEAD trial.
Disclosures: Dr. Pandey reported having no financial disclosures.
