EHR Program Flags Patients at High Risk for HIV

Key clinical point: Kaiser Permanente Northern California has developed an EHR program that flags patients at high risk for HIV.

Major finding: The C-statistic for HIV prediction was impressive, 0.84 in the validation cohort.

Study details: The development and validation cohorts included almost 4,000,000 Kaiser members.
