She had a huge role in helping to change the way we think about and treat addiction, and for that we are grateful.

Dr. Michael Brodsky is the medical director of Bridges to Recovery in Pacific Palisades, Calif., a private, residential behavioral health program for adults with psychiatric disorders, and a member of the teaching faculty of the University of California, Los Angeles department of psychiatry.
