Case report may link gluteal implants to lymphoma

Key clinical point: In one case, textured silicone gluteal implants appear to be linked to anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL).

Major finding: One year after textured silicone gluteal implant placement, a 49-year-old woman was diagnosed with ALCL in her left lung lobe, which may have been a metastatic mass originating from her gluteal region.
