Proportion of HCV patients with cirrhosis is climbing

References

Despite a decline in the overall prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) in the United States, the number of HCV patients with cirrhosis has risen significantly. Researchers report that the estimated prevalence of cirrhosis in HCV-infected patients has climbed from 6.6% in the early 1990s to more than 17% in the present era.
